Please do not move this thread as I want to get some feedback from just Q10 owners.

My wife's shiny new white Q10 should arrive from Amazon UK tomorrow and I want some confidence to install this new OS. It will be my first go at this as I am still on BB7. I have read on the leak thread that there are some issues with side loaded Android apps but that is no problem for her. The one app that has to work is Facebook and I have heard some people post it does not work for them, but they all seemed to be Z10 owners.

So, do I leave it with the OS that it ships with or dive in to 10.2 goodness?

Updated mine couple of hours ago. Instagram's a mess with the android back button stucked and all plus I can't post pictures. Backed up my contacts but when I restored.. to my surprise not a single contact was transferred. Don't know if the problem's with my bblink or the existing contacts error in bb10. Restored SOME of my contacts via intouchapp though. Other than that, everythings good so far esp the coooool interface when phone's locked.

Updated mine a few hours ago...everything is working fine except the search option...after the update you cannot use Google search directly...you have to open the browser to use Google search...
And the quick reply for the notifications work only for text messages...no support yet for whatsapp and all the other IM Apps...
Facebook too works fine...you just have to re enter your password..

I don't have the guts to download any unproved updates I keep too much important info on my phone. Unless you have multiple devices I wouldn't without widespread recognition that it works fine...

Really like it, though it's a bit slow and still have some bugs here and there. Will be sticking to this for awhile.

I've been perfectly happy with my update. I do miss the black theme in the calendar and a couple other places. I haven't had any issues of apps not working though. My restore worked well. I didn't notice any missing contacts. I did a battery test yesterday and got about 18 hours off the first charge. That was with normal to above normal use. Overall I'm impressed.

Updated mine yesterday, I won't go back to10.1n I don't really sideload apps because everything I use is available trough BlackBerry app world. This OS is a step up, to me anyways.

I also updated mine yesterday. First time updating my Q10 to an unofficial software release.

For the first hour or so, my phone had trouble with incoming calls. But it sorted itself out.

As for Facebook, mine works perfectly, as do all my other apps.

For the "toast notifications" I receive them for BBM and texts. None for Whatsapp but that's not a big deal to me to be honest.

The lock screen nofitications are also awesome.

I have no problems with the few android apps I have sideloaded (keek, candy crush, myO2...). instagram is a bit of a mess as said but you can still scroll through and view images.

Overall I am really pleased with the update and I say go for it. If anything goes wrong you can always roll back to the os the device originally came with.

Yes I have it updated and running for more than 24 hours. It's jam packed with additional tweaks and features. I highly recommend it.

It really does not matter to be honest there is only a few things different from a visual preference.

For me I have NO issues with the 10.2 software available.

I wouldnt recommend it. Why even leave a chance that her phone will be buggy and slow or have some other issues. It will turn her off from the phone and maybe bb10 altogether. I would say just update to the newest official OS and wait for 10.2 to be official as well. Theres already alot of cool features in 10.1 that she can get used to before the 10.2 version is released.

I downloaded the update yesterday, it took a minute max to download and install I had no troubles. The new update is Awesome, I haven't found any problems yet, and the new features are pretty good, haven't found out all the new cool stuff yet but so far so good. I recommend you to download it.

I bet I get gadget envy when I see the Q10 and I'm still on my 9900 with its perfectly working, not at all malfunctioning keyboard meaning I have no excuse to upgrade early unlike Mrs Pilchard!

I updated mine when it was first released. Today, I went back to 10.1. The battery sucked real bad with that os and is back to normal now.

Updated mine yesterday and went back to the old 10.1OS. I didn't like the change to white texting, and for me the OS was more sluggish as compared to the official OS. Didn't get a chance to see if the "priority messages" was a benefit or not. Really looking forward to the official OS release with actionable notifications bc that was a very cool feature..But if whatever OS is released if it doesn't give me the ability to change the hub and top bar color from facebook blue to black or a color of my choosing then BB is missing the mark...

Guys can somebody explain to me how to fix the following bug; when I try to swipe from one email/notification to another using the new swipe gesture, it works perfectly but when I am in a "text msg" the gesture doesn't work
