Using the new App Manager I made a couple of surprising discoveries.

BlackBerry Travel in active frame more may consume a lot of CPU. I found it eating 6% for several minutes yesterday after I pulled my phone out and found my battery had dropped in half in a couple hours.

Music player was also in active frame mode, paused on a song, and it was eating .3% CPU which is not great for standby battery life.

I cannot consistently repro the issue with Travel, but I can with Music, so I won't be leaving it open any more when not in use.

Battery is ok for me. After installation was the worst performance but that is understandable since the phone is adjusting. 24 hours later it seems to be ok. But I still feel 10.1.0.4867 was better in terms of battery life.

Yeah, in getting crappy battery life too. It was bad on. 810 too.

Before that I was rocking an MR leak, so it was fine then.

Hopefully it will settle a bit more

I did a security wipe after installing, I charged it to 100% and never used it (airplane mode, used another device). This was till 4pm yesterday, now after around 15h the phone is dead even tough I never used the device.

What I did recognize is WiFi is turning on automatically when resetting the device. Maybe it resetted itself and wifi in the background put the battery down. Still just with wifi, no active wifi connection, no use, only 15h of battery life?

Someting's really wrong here.

My battery is horrible too. I swapped batteries 3 times yesterday. I can normally stretch it to 2 days on 10.1.

Keep in mind that everyone's battery is going to perform differently because usage is completely different amongst users.

For me, I installed this leak on Friday night, and did some more tweaking on Saturday morning so I finally took my Z10 off of the charger around 11:30 am on Saturday. I then went on the road, and was tweaking some more - arranging my icons and folders, downloading my apps, had the contact app open to sync, and used maps.

When I got to my destination, I used my phone to capture about 40 pics, edited them on the phone, send some texts and emails, and made some calls.

Got back home at 1:00 in the morning, uploaded my pictures to Dropbox, and that was my last usage before plugging in.

At that point I still had 1/3 of my battery bar still available. For me, that's pretty satisfactory and in line with what I used to get with my iphone4.

Let the new OS settle for a couple of days before comparing battery performance to your previously installed version. I'd say 90% percent of rapid battery drainage is caused by user installed apps. Just remember, battery pulls are a thing of the past. Try a hard reset by holding down the power button past the black and white BlackBerry until the blue logo appears.

The Battery is good for me, the first few hours was horrible but then again the OS has to settle down...

I used a few tips from reading the various threads.

1. After reboot on installation of the OS don't touch your phone for at least 5 min.

2. After initial install of OS plug in your phone charger and power off your device and let it charge while off until the green light comes on.

I've had very good battery life on moderate phone usage and no heat up of the device.

4867 was better in terms of battery. I could get more than 2 days on wifi with normal usage - whatsapp, emails, browsing net and music.

On 1047 (10.2) I am able to get max one day with same usage

My battery life has been really good, best so far of any leak. I have been browsing, played a game of NBA Jam, RSS app, CB app (a lot). Probably got about 9 hours on one charge with medium usage.

On my first full charge since loading the OS Friday night I am at the 19 hour mark with 15% left. This is way better battery than. 810 for me.

No security wipe, no wifi ,bluetooth off, nfc off.

Used for lots of CB app reading, flashlight at night fixing something, pictures, bbm, texting, twitter (blaq) etc.

Hope you sort it out but I believe this is the best build for battery yet for me anyways.
