My contract ended with Sprint on August 01, I'm waiting for either the A10 or iPhone 5S, in the meantime, does anyone know if Straight Talk or Metro PCS will let me use my Sprint Bold 9930 still?

Contact Metro or Boost, they might do it. Unknown on Straight Talk

An unlocked 9930 will get you a phone that makes calls and texts. The only BlackBerry Straight Talk phone I could find was a 9310 fed by Verizon network. And it did not show up as available on the Straight Talk site.

For me, I use less than 2GB data a month, maybe use 100 minutes tops of my 450 anytime minutes. For me, paying over $75-80 per month using a 3G phone on Sprint, who still has not put 4G coverage in metro-Detroit, seems like an awfully lot of money for barebones usage.

Well, be aware that with almost any newer phone, your usage is going to increase, perhaps even double. I used to use about 5 GB a month, and the last two combined Is over 18. Food for thought.

I was referring to when you do actually get a new phone. As far as current, I can see where your experience won't change much, except you'll pay less to get the same functionality you're overpaying for now.

My post above, you will have voice and text only, they only support BIS on the 9310 thru Verizon.

I'm just sticking with Sprint. Just sucks here in Detroit I'm paying $80.00 a month and even if I get a new 4G device, we don't have LTE 4G coverage here yet.

I thought Straight talk was gsm only but I found a post here on Crackberry called "Sprint Blackberry Bold 9930 switchover to StraightTalk" (can't figure out how to link on mobile) and it claims you can...
