    I bought an unlocked bold 9900 and purchased a new orange SIM card. When I put the sim in the signal bar just says SOS and shows the message sim not provisioned 2. I have read that I just need to register my sim by phoning the orange helpline but I can't even do this from another phone because I don't know the new sims phone number as it needs to be registered by phoning of the sim itself. I'm stuck at what to do now

    Orange/T-Mobile (EE) are an evil provider and they do this for no good reason - I'd say get another SIM from someone else.

    However in order for you to get your SIM to work you can call Orange from any phone on 0800 801 080 select the correct option and they should be able to do it for you.

    There was a web link on the orange website where you could enter your SIM number, register & get a number - though I can't find it - so you may want to have a look yourself.

    In your network settings ensure it is set to automatic and global. Also you have to manually program your phone number to the device. Press the phone button. Then dial ##000000. Then press the answer button again. edit your phone number here and your voicemail access number, save it and the device will reset

    ##000000 does not work. It says wrong password. I am on mtn network in Zambia

    You could just visit them in the shop and get it fixed in less than a minute

    When was your last visit to an EE shop to deal with an account issue. They sit you down on the store phone and dial customer service for you and let you get on with it...

    This is direct recent experiences of myself + others who chose to go the shop route...
