Hey folks going on over one hour and forty minutes now. For this latest upgrade via wifi.

I was 99 % done on step 2 when I picked up my phone and took it to another room to keep an eye on it. Well that room did not catch wifi properly so it paused on me. The when I took it back to wifi area in my house it restartd from the beginning again.

Now been stopped on the reboot screen. It's shows 100% booted up but won't do nothing. Do I give it a reboot? It's been seriously like close to two hours. Why is updating software have to be so challenging. Or am I the only one on this fence?

Just leave it. DO NOT pull your battery. It will reboot.....this update seems to be taking long on the initial boot. over an hour for some folks

    Mine took 6hours ota
My wife's only took about an hour through BlackBerry link. I noticed with my z10, that there was a extra step where it said it was downloading a 2gb data step...whatever that means.

Not sure about your carrier, but for the Verizon update it actually does it in two parts. First, there is a download of appr 300+ or so megs with an install, then there is another 2gig (IIRC) download with another install. It took about an hour and a half over my wifi (heavy traffic). Yep, a lot longer than the 65 minutes the phone tells you it should take but still perfectly fine.

And just remember to keep that sucker plugged in, lest it bricks on you due to a dead battery. That's more important than the time it takes to update.

Seriously how long does this take for others? I'm stuck at 100% for over 2 hours now. Is this normal?

Would downloading via blackberry link have been a better way just so I know for future upgrades?

I am new to blackberry. I got a z10. I would like to know about how often should I upgrade my OS ? Should I not upgrade at all and use the default ? Please let me know your views on this. Good day ...

Around an hour, because I do a security wipe, run an autoloader and then do a security wipe again.

I've only ever had one OTA update, and that was back in March.

Mine took an hour and a half using Link, including a backup. Leave it plugged into a power source as instructed and do something fun in the real world, makes a nice change of pace.
