I've been suffering from random reboots followed by 3-6 hours of frequently dying..
Like I fully charge the phone, use it for 10 mins and bum.. it's dead.. it doesn't want to boot up and stays for 3-6 hours till it boots again

I tried all methods to fix the problem but none of them worked..
I called the repair service and said they'll come to collect the phone in a week..
During this week I tried fully charging and use it till it drains and that reduced the first problem till it's gone but the battery now drains in 3 mins from full to 0 but phone keeps working for hours..

Any ideas of the reason of this?

So what you're saying is the battery shows dead, but has lots of juice?

That is a battery calibration issue... try getting a new battery or charging the battery in another Z and putting it in fully charged as I bet this will fix it

Fully charge and fully drain the battery until it turns itself off, like you've done. A few more of these cycles should bring it back to normal. If that doesn't work, I'd reload the OS. It could be there as well.

I did reload the software.. I've also tried fully charging and draining couple of times but nothing happens..

BTW.. I've just removed my phone out of the charger after it's fully charged 5 mins before adding this comment.. battery went from 100% to 0% in a blink :|

Device works normally but I'm not able to know the real battery percentage!!!

Had the same thing happen to me, lasted 7 hours in the red. A full recharge and swap of battery did the trick.

I had the same thing happen to me about 2 weeks ago. The battery will go from 100 to 0 in a matter of seconds but the phone would run its due course.

Then a few times the phone turned off when the battery was completely exhausted after a day's use and the problem was gone. Guess the battery meter got recalibrated or something.
