I've lost a majority of my contacts in updating my os. Is there anyway I can get them back

I also thought that the predicted words would change colors (green) after update?

Word predictions on the spacebar become a light green instead of the blue, for readability. I think predicted words on the keyboard (for flicking) retain their previous colour.

As for the contacts, did you do an OTA update, or did you flash a leak?

Leak auto booter or official OTA upgrade? Or you can first downs wipe the settings open in your contacts app and see if they're disabled.
