I wonder the same thing and really hope there will be! RIM has officially said they will continue to support legacy devices running BB OS 7.. What better way than continued software updates? Let's all hope

I think they mean small updates like security updates and such, kinda like they are doing with the PlayBook

well that would be okay, i personally would have no objections or complaints about that. progress is progress and that would be better than nothing. it's definitely understandable and expected that BB10 get most of the attention, RIM wants to acheive comparable market success w/ the new devices and platform that the legacy devices & OS became known for. so long as they don't set all things legacy on a shelf and forget it altogether
