Headless apps won't be released till the 10.2 update later this year, I believe.

The apps still need to be updated to run headless. A lot of people are running the 10.2 leaks but I haven't heard much about them running apps in the background

Dev 's don't cater to leaks. Its unlikely that the updates will be released until 10.2 is officially dropped or will be soon.

They'll run in the background without leaving a "frame" active. Very important for apps like changing your notifications (colored blinking lights) or change you wallpaper automatically...

Based on the testing we have seen I'd say we are still a few months from any official releases. So I'd say the first of next year for most Verizon users that don't care to "leak"

AFAIK it isn't even possible to start working on the development yet. Not till next month.

A few months? That's sad. It seems my old blackberry phone Definitely had more features Than bb10. Things just take to long to get done and updated. There's a lot of software that need access to this feature. I don't want them running on a active frame. I do understand one day in 2014 we might have bb10 catchup. But it just stinks to always be waiting for things that should be there. Here's to patience just sit back relax and just envy the software running on other phones.

This is Blackberry time we're talking here. It'll be August 31 at best. Even then, they don't just deploy the first gold release. Testing comes first, and may take longer now that the department has been reduced.
