    Hi guys,

    I've noticed for a few days that when I am using BBM channels, the phone gets really hot and results in battery drain.

    I've tried re installing the OS and it's still same.

    Is this a known issue or one of the odd cases?

    I'm on 10.1.0.4561/Z10 STL 100-1

    Via WiFi or over carrier, sometimes heat is from processor and radios working hard. I had a device that when on BT and streaming would get super hot from everything buzzing along, needed to be put in front of AC vent in car to keep from getting high temp warnings.

    Same with me.phone drains battery in a hour or so.

    Ok something I did and got full day battery life

    1. Close all apps by holding on X button for a few seconds.(do not just click it but hold on x) It will just kill the app no matter what. It seems some apps continue to work in background even if you close them.

    Got a full day battery life today and still at around 40 percent.

    The last week has been horrible for my battery life. Same usage as before, but instead of my usual 14-16 hrs, it's been max 8 hrs. Sucks. I'm not sure if it is BBM Channels or not.

    What OS are you on?

    What changes have happened to your phone since last week? Did you install new OS or apps?

    Hello everyone. I installed the beta build of BBM on my z10 and I started having issues with BBM Voice calls. Actually it doesn't work anymore. Besides, my battery drains so fast now. Is there a way to reinstall the official version?

    Z10 10.1.0.273 on Rogers.
    I have the latest BBM Channels, I installed the new BBVE when announced on CrackBerry, and Reebee a few days before that. Those are the only difference.
