Is there a way I can change the setting for my email accounts to download more mail to the device?

At the moment I can only see the last 1 month or so, but would like to have more.

Any help appreciated.

Certain email accounts can do "forever" after the 10.1 update.
IMAP emails can do "forever" after the 10.2 update which is coming in 2-3 months.

The 2-3 months is of course assuming the update is released by your carrier on time.

Additional info � IMAP email accounts (such as Gmail) have the "forever" sync option in the 10.1.0.4xxx leaks currently available. So, you will see the option sooner than with 10.2, which may be in the fall. This will catch them up with the Active sync accounts such a Hotmail, Outlook.com, etc.

If you're dealing with an Active Sync account, go to System Settings, Accounts and select the account. Tap Advanced at the bottom, scroll down and choose Forever from the Sync Time frame.

If you have a Gmail account, you'll have to delete it and re-add it. Re-add it by going to System Settings, Accounts and choose advanced at the bottom of the screen. Choose Gmail, and ads your credentials. At the bottom of that set up screen, you'll see Initial Retrieval amount, with the default at 7 days. Tap that and make your selection.

I'm using the 10.2 leak and was anxious to try the forever option... seems to have brought me all my mail but now I have issues getting the new mail - hours late, anyone seeing similar symptoms?
