i am looking for the stl100-4 10.0.9.422 OS to download. I have upgraded to 10.1 but have to get a replacement device through verizon. if they take the phone in with 10.1 software, they told me they would charge me $500 fee for "tampering with software/hardware. if i device wipe, that will only keep it at 10.1 correct? anyone have 10.0.9.422 to download to i can downgrade before i send back my phone?

but anyways use sachesi and search CSE Production Country Code 000 Carrier Code 00, should give you 10.0.9

what do you mean? they told me if there were hardware damages or alterations they would charge me no less than $500 (probably the price of the phone) and if there were any software alterations they would do the same. they aren't allowed? so if i get a replacement device and my device has 10.1 or a broken screen, or a drop mark, they can't charge me even though they say they will and will in fact charge me? lol

In a sense yes, cause if they gave you a faulty device (and it happens) how can they put that blame on you.

Software on a device does not void hardware warranty unless that software was the direct cause of the issue. 99.9% of the time it isn't

I don't know how it works in America or in Canada, here in Europe it doesn't matter what OS you're running, the law here says they must fix it with no charges at all. I have bricked my Android phone ones, I had to sent it for repair, they did a board swap and sent it back to me without charges. I've tried to use Sachesi to find 10.0.9.422 for STL 100-4 but when I search the only option is 10.1.0.4181.

If I can't find 10.0.9.422, I can't restore my device's data from before it died.

Any suggestions?

Maybe use link and choose to reload the os. I think it will put the most current os for that carrier
