    Maybe as a sign of good faith they gave the folks expiring in July an extra free year? I'm set to expire 3/14

    I have been using WhatsApp since early 2009 and have never been presented with an option to pay for it. Each time a new version is released, it auto-renews my membership. Works for me!

    No idea why this happens. I have been using Whatsapp since 2009 as well and never paid a penny to them. It just says lifetime service now. Perhaps a way to reward long time users?
