So I went and got my Z 10 from AT&T the second say it was available, and of course being the great phone that it is I wanted the best protection for it, so I got the OtterBox Defender, in short, I like the protection it provides and that’s it, it’s bulky and almost hinders the Z 10 unusable, then is the issue of what to do with the annoying belt clip! I don’t use it. I ended up going with a ligether cheaper case that lets the Z 10 be all it can be (it even lets you see the BB logo). It was hard to stop using the OtterBox, because, after all I paid 50.00 USD for it and hurts to see that much money put away in a drawer. Here is where things get better again for the OtterBox. I recently bought a budget bike for recreation purposes, I’ve been using Endomomdo to track my running work outs, so I thought I should do the same when I ride my bike, so I started looking for mounts, when it suddenly hit me, what if I attach the clip to the bike and put the phone back in the case! And so I did look at the pictures, only issue you get a false click in when the phone is facing up so I have to use a string to prevent the phone from coming out.

If you want almost the same level of protection as the Z10 OB without the issues...aka done right...then you want the Seidio Convert.

Comes with rugged belt clip that has magnet too.

Awesome case... and the phone can be placed in face out without issues. (latch holds it in and the magnet has no effect)

I wantan otter box for my Z10 but the defender is just to big for my taste. However i wouldn't mind a commuter version had one for my bold 9900. Was a great case.

I loved the defender for my Z10......for about 5 minutes until I started using gestures with it, at which time I returned it to best buy. I'd love it if OB came out with the commuter for the Z10. One of the best cases in history from my perspective.

I won't get an other box. I had it for my s3. Makes the phone so bulky. And just ruins the experience.

Got a pouch for my z10. The phone looks to amazing to be hidden!

Forget the otterbox. Just buy a fireproof safe. It offers much greater protection and is only slightly more bulky.

Four years ago I attached my Curve 8900 to my bike with a cheap rubber case and a zip tie. I used it for a headlight and it made it very easy to listen to music and make phone calls while riding my bike! Good times

Hey did otterbox release an updated model yet? I still have my defender but it's packed away. I used a seidio active now. Absolutely love it. I got the white and black combo. The white plastic cracked near camera but it's still holding strong. I'm tempted to call otterbox and have them send me the updated model if it's available. They have excellent customer service so if you tell them that you have an old model they will send you a new one for free and you get to keep your old one. I received a new case years ago. Sane situation just with the BlackBerry storm

I have had similar issues with cases losing the feel of the phone. I don't trust myself not to have any protection and recently purchased the barely there case by case mate. Not only do I feel the phone is mostly protected but I have more interest from others asking me about my phone and getting excited to know it is a Blackberry. This case doesn't take away from the phone. It merely enhances it. I enjoy the phone so much more.

I personally wish they would release a commuter series for the Z10. I refuse to buy their defender series. I've purchased their commuter series cases for many of my devices. It's a shame they haven't made one for the Z10.
