We are glad to announce our new Blackberry 10 app release "Backup My Phone".




Description :

Backup or Restore Blackberry 10 device in three easy steps.Backup my phone can backup entire phone and SD card contents to the Computer.It can also Restore the data back from Computer to device it in case of phone damage or any loss.It can backup all of the documents,photos,music,videos and any other file present on Blackberry 10 device's phone memory or SD Card.
Not only this,it is also very customizable.It allows you to select what you want to backup and what not.

Nowadays smartphones have huge memory.It is not easy to maintain the backup on the same device.Moreover,if the device is damaged or stolen,the backup on same device would be of no help.
To overcome these problems we have designed "Backup My Phone".Backup My Phone creates backup of your phone on the computer.It also helps in restoring the data back to the device in case the data is corrupted or deleted.
It comes with Auto backup feature.If enabled,it will automatically backup your device in background when it is connected to the PC.The backups are incremental and hence are faster than any other usual backup methods.

Below are the features of Backup My Phone :
a) Incremental Backups resulting in Higher speed backups.
b) Auto Backup in background when the device is connected.
c) Restore facility to restore the data back to the device or any other Blackberry 10 device.
d) Backup of entire phone memory and SD card.

f) Customization of folders to be backed up.You can customize what you want to backup and where you want it to be backed up.

Notes :

Backup My Phone contains two programs.One program runs on BlackBerry� 10 Phone.The second program runs on windows computer/laptop.The windows server program can be downloaded from Downloads

Please Note :
a) The server program is available for Windows only.
b) It does not backup contacts or sms.It is made for backing up your files.
c) Write to us if you need any help.
d) We have the help pages available on-line as well.

e) If you are not able to open the application after installing then please delete the application and reinstall it from BlackBerry� world.
To do this ,longs press the icon and after that click on the delete symbol that appears.Then install it again from BlackBerry� World.

Also,the app needs access to Shared Files.Hence make sure you have given that permission.(from Settings – Security & Privacy – Application Permissions-Backup My Phone -Shared Files access – ON)

Adding to this,Backup My Phone can also be used to copy entire contents of one Blackberry 10 device to another one.

Just backup your first device. After this,disconnect the first device and connect the second one and hit Restore !

If I read this correctly, no backup of system databases is available � I'm particularly interested in Password Keeper and browser bookmarks. These are the only two items I really want to restore...

Any chance of this being added in future releases?

Thank you for the suggestions.We will definitely improve the app to include these features if proper apis are provided by Blackberry to do so.(Since these are third party app for us,we do not have access to its data cache.)

As of now,our focus is to add the contacts and SMS backup feature to Backup My Phone.

We appreciate your feedback,Please let us know of any other enhancement that you think of.We will put up our efforts to implement it in Backup My Phone.
