Its been around 5-6 months since Z10 launched here in Dubai. There is still no way to use BBM voice and video (atleast as far as I know). Its very unfortunate that we here are missing out on one of the best features of BB smartphones. I know there is a work around for BB0S7 smartphones to get BBM voice working but there is nothing I have heard of for BB10. Etisalat and DU just fail to reply to my queries on twitter/email/phone.

Any update from any one would be highly appreciated. Also, if there is a work around, please do share.

I tried that. But it did not work. It is out in the open that the Telecom authorities here have blocked BBM voice and video and the home internet is provided by the same companies that provide cellular network. I' am pretty its not the case of 'doing it wrong'. Therefore looking for a work around =)

I'm also here in Dubai and am experiencing the same disappointments. My recommendation is to do what I plan to do: get the hell out of the middle-east. This region, UAE included, is ****.

Yeah same problem here in Canada. I heard Rogers is going to block BBM and the Internet and cellphones so we have to use their landlines instead. Get out of that country if you enjoy freedom. Choose a place like Britain or USA.

All of sudden from today morning onwards, my BBM is showing the video option in grey color for one contact. He is in Etisalat and i am not sure why it is showing from today onwards. May be DU enabled BBM video or this is the part of bug. I do not know anyone on DU either to check this. if any of you are on DU please let me know. so that we can test this.

Yeah, he should go to the USA so that he gets annoyed with the stupid carriers and force him to buy Apple products or just wait half a year to get an update that was released by BlackBerry.

For that matter, facetime works here as well! To change this, I guess BB UAE just has to lobby with the Operators here.

Factime doesn't work there, unless you bought your device out of UAE.

Solved : As uae internet and phone services are reserved by two companies Du & Etisalat so they simply don't let u use BBM voice.
Even skype cant be downloaded and filtered as phonographic site but if u have installed on pc or from app store so it works. Viber is not working at all. FaceTime works on foreign devices only. For BBM voice simply use a VPN from your app store and the voice chat sign appears after restarting the app.
I tried it my self and works fine.
Find VPN in app store (Tunnel Bear) install and turn it on from settings. If still u facing problems on bb or iphone so just contact me [email protected]
