yes, he and i are working on it! i am more aggressive on memory which he always tells me no. but he is fine with me attacking ram.
his attack/exploits gives root, but not god mode. i am going after god mode.
i will pass on what all codes he needs so he can poke around. he got my 100% support. rest in IRC.

by "God" mode what do you mean? How much does this exploit actually open up?

Would root on 10.0.9 potentially allow someone to roll the UI back to the (working) 2.1 version while keeping Cascades support and disable the expiry date?

it hasnt been found by xsacha. god mode = something beyond root. root in traditional unix means someone who controls everything. and god mode means someone who controls even root.

based on irc chat with xsacha he confirmed that 10.x -> 2.1 is possible but 10.x -> 2.0 is not possible.

Need someone to help simplify the exploit so I can turn it in to an app. Unfortunately no one on here knows much about Unix to help so I haven't worked on it since.

well you know since my *nix is very weak, i dont think i fit in this project. i am pulling myself out of dingleberry. the *nix experts are perfect for this job.
i am going back to my TI document reading which is 5554 pages + 5626 pages (omap4430 + omap4470) since rooting doesnt interest me. and i am into work with registers. which is not *nix anyway. i am out of this dingleberry whatever project. there are many masters here who can do better things than i can. i will stick to jtag and CAR and coreboot ONLY.

Upgrading it to any OS. Ability to downgrade to any OS. Ability to theme the UI. Ability to change system apps and system scripts. Ability to sideload, backup, restore and install firmware on-device.
Much much more.

Thanks for the insight and sorry for the bad grammar this auto-correct on these tablets always mess me up, but sounds like the possibilities could be very good especially if it can be used to improve or fix the problems that some of the apps already have, if your on the older 2.1 that is.
