It's been a few days since Verizon has posted on their website that software upgrade 10.1 is available for Z10.
So far here in NJ my Z10 still doesn't show that an update is available for my device, and I have been hitting "Check for Updates" regularly...
Reading some other posts it doesn't seem that anyone was successful in getting the update. Some have quoted Verizon support as saying "It was approved by Verizon and now BlackBerry needs to push it out..."
Can we take a roll call and see if any of you fellow Verizon customers have gotten the update?
Please reply yes or no with what state you are in.
If it hasn't been pushed out to anyone yet, can we have someone on the Crackberry staff reach out to BlackBerry on behalf of all of us to find out what's going on?
    Thanks

Verizon is not waiting on BlackBerry, Verizon is waiting on itself.

BlackBerry 10.1 update was given to Verizon around a month ago as with several of the other carriers. Verizon was originally going to release it mid June but decided to "do more testing".
BlackBerry did their part, now Verizon needs to do theirs. Once BlackBerry gives the update to the provider, it's out of their hands.

FYI: Don't waste your time by checking the phone's software update in settings as you will not be able to get it anytime before Verizon sends you a notification that it is available.
    Why frustrate yourself...

Fragmented OS updates created by the BlackBerry controlled by the carriers in the USA. If that isn't a recipe for failure I don't know what is.

People, don't wait. Load a leak or an official from another carrier. Don't be held hostage by your carrier. Break free. During independence week, declare your freedom from their tyranny! Rise up and update!

I thought the same thing until - 1) Verizon support claimed that once they give the green light for the software, it is then pushed out through BlackBerry's servers. And 2) judging by the fiasco that happened with AT&T about a week ago, when an update was pushed out and then it was pulled, with Blackberry issuing an apology... it looks like it really does come from BlackBerry "once they get approval from the carrier"...
Can someone on the Crackberry team look into this please and let us know what is going on?
    Thanks

I got a notification this morning saying my blackberry is due for a free software update and to go to settings and check for updates, etc.
It did not specify 10.1 but I can only imagine that's what it is referring to. However, when I check for updates it still tells me I have the latest software. I have not installed any leaks. Still running on 10.0.9.422. Anyone else experience this today? Any help?

I read a comment somewhere where someone said companies are "holding BB under the water waiting on them to drown" That's a perfect analysis. 10.1 have BEEN ready. Companies don't want them to succeed. If the update wasn't ready, every carrier outside the US wouldn't have already pushed it. These carriers & developers are trying to wait out BB til it dies. Why the carriers are doing it? I don't know. I said screw it and installed a leak. Never been a fan of leaks but I'm not going to let carriers hold me back.

Carriers are not trying to drown BlackBerry. Certain carriers are not releasing the software due to bugs. Are there decent 10.1 builds out there? Yes, but they all seem to have some issues. We need to remember that Verizon cdma network is a different animal and we can't compare it too other carriers.
