So I got my q10 yesterday and gotta say I was totally disappointed for th first couple of hours. Felt like I was brain dead, couldn't find anything or do anything,,new symbols ect.
Now I don't even remember how to use the 9900. When I go back to see what things I'm missing, can't even remember how to find them.
So all in all,q10 is great, don't be discouraged at first. Get to know it.
Aside from some of my favorite apps missing ,I'm sure they're on the way.
Along with some email revisions. Skype worked great first time out. I, pleased!
Oh and it does have speed dial. Only you have to be in the phone app to use it..
A little confusing with the favorites contacts and the speed dial. Several ways to access them. Gotta reprogram the brain.

Great message. All new OSs have a learning curve attached to them. The key is exercising patience and not getting frustrated when a new device doesn't do something exactly like the old device did.

Yep definitely a learning curve with this phone but it's not terribly drastic. It's come to a point where I try swiping on every phone I touch now...Loving the new OS and the new way to navigate. Wooooot

Agreed! I too had a few troubles at first but quickly started getting the hang of the Q10. Some of the options are a little weird but time will handle that.

Love the Q10! It's fast, super smooth, and a pleasure to use.

My biggest issue is switching back and forth between my Q10 and my RAZR Maxx. The Q10 gestures just don't work on android! :-)

I've done the gestures on some Note 2s and iPhones. Total fail for not being able to maneuver around like my old Z and now my Q.

    Couldn't agree more!

Came from bold 9900.... took a while to get used to both Z10 and Q10, but now loving both and learning more each day...

And with upcoming 10.2 software OS upgrade, lots more to learn!

Is it just me but I found learning BB10 wasn't as steep as seemingly everyone is saying. Took me just a couple of hours before I "Got It". Anyway, glad you are loving it

I've had my Q10 for a few hours now. I must say the OS takes some getting use to. Making conscious efforts to remember that navigation is gesture based. Other than that, the learning curve isn't as steep as I thought it would be.

Have had mine for a few hours now...coming from a Z10 which I've had since February (9900 before that)...I've got it set up pretty much like I had the Z10 set up, and I do like it...just will take a couple days to once again get used to having to depress the physical keys. The other difference I'm noticing is the different color profile of the screens...the whites on the Q are "warmer" than the Z, giving the effect of being not as bright, but the brightness is fine actually...the colors are just more saturated overall...looks great, just different.

Just got my Q10 on Monday coming from the Z10 I had since Feb too haha the screen size is something to get use too I'd imagine if I came straight from my old 9900 I'd have to get use to the lack of navigation buttons and trackpad

I do find myself constantly using the swiping to delete gesture I had on the Z hahaha and tapping lightly rather then fully typing and I do miss the screen size but my how I feel like I have come home with this Q10! I love it!

The battery life is way better then the Z! A definet noticeable difference in 2 full days use. I couldn't be more pleased.
