If it was used properly, it wouldn't be a problem, but people were pinging me simply because I wasn't quick enough answering them on BBM. Sorry, but BUSY in my status actually means BUSY !

They should at least have the option, which for you people who got annoyed with it before, could switch off.

What's the point of it not vibrating? If it's an emergency and my phone is always set not to alert me for anything but calls. How is someone going to get my attention if they can't ping me?

Seems pretty unintuitive and daft.

My 9900 had the option to turn of vibrate for pings. I think they could integrate this into BB10 for those who want it.

9700 > 9900 > Z10

At some stage, some of my friends consider "ping-first-then-chat-later" is a normal thingy

Feels like someone poking the back of my head with a stick, just to get me noticed, so that he/she can say 'hi'

We should have an option to keep it or not, and the fact that we can only ping three times should also be changed. Because having a ping war with someone that has an older phone always equals on me losing lol

I've already deleted and blocked people from my bbm list due to pings, I gave them fair warning and still they went ahead with it.

When I had my BlackBerry Torch 9860 most of my friends got an app called pinger, simply they chose how many pings they want to send automatically,, than used to put 1000-3000 and start, , really annoying, I delete them fast before my phone get bricked as it happened to some one I know because of receiving thousands of pings using that app..

Lucky we don't have such an app like that on BB10

Ping was a great addition to BBM. Problem with everything that's great is it attracts people who abuse them like pokes. Ping used properly is a great business / get your attention feature. Quite a shame it's taking nearly 6 months to fix something so easy. Apparently BBM is going cross platform so they better fix it soon.

I think it should be our choice. There's no reason to exclude it. I like the way it used to be where we could choose if our phone vibrated or not upon receiving a ping.

I LIVE in a different country to 90% of my list. So if it's urgent, we ping.

Some of us are mature and actually use it when it's necessary. If you don't have mature friends, simply disable it. I'm asking for the option of vibrate to be returned, not for it to be permanent for everyone without being able to turn it off...

I second that, if I don't respond it usually means I can't. Don't constantly ping me until I snap. It's the worst.
