I recently bought a Q10 I had some issues adapting to the new UI but after I sideloaded most of the apps, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr and some emulators I find myself using BBM less and less everyday to the point that I find myself irritated by it. i dont know if is the new layout and changes but it went from the app that I used the most to the lest use app on my phone, is anybody filling the same.

Nope. I am enjoying so far. I like the bbm channels and the new ui. Only thing missing g is bbm group picture notifications. That and cross platform bbm will complete my bbm experience

You're not necessarily giving a reason for using BBM less and less. Is the way of getting there difficult for you? Is it the new bbm app itself?

I think the OP means they are using the other sideloaded social apps instead of bbm. I don't use bbm either, but then again I don't use any social apps.

I agree. It has a bit to do with the layout and how status update is presented however the major reason is the fact that most of my BBM friends have left. We'll see how this will change once BBM goes cross platform

I am using it considerably less because they discontinued the feature that I used the most: the ability to broadcast messages to specific groups. Now it is either to all contacts or select them one by one.
I have instead created groups to text to and use that regularly now.

There is a name for people who avoid intelligent debate by labeling anyone who posts anything they don't agree with a troll. They are called "trollers".

The only thhing worse than a troll is a troller.

I've never used BBM. When my friends had blackberry, I was using Windows Mobile and later-on android. When my friends switched to windows phone and android, I switched to blackberry 10

Is there a point to this thread?

Is to initiate conversation? certainly isn't posed that way. Or is to attack a BlackBerry specific app? Seems more that way

I notice I hardly ever use SMS anymore
    ...should I start a thread?

I don't care for contacts on bbm. I have one and I use it to talk to them. I use it because it's much faster than using the normal text messaging app. But, I have no problem using the regular text messaging method. BBM will grow again. I say that with a big yawn. It's pointless to ponder about. When bbm goes cross platform, that's all that'll be used.

I'm actually using BBM more now than I ever have. I have quite a few friends who still use BlackBerry phones, and now my wife has a Z10, we use BBM video to communicate while she is out of town. I love the hub integration and the layout. I expect to be using it even more once it goes cross platform.

Btw, you don't HAVE to use the hub. It is a very simple integration in the OS, but it's just as simple to use the BBM icon if you choose to do so.
