    I can send SMS' to contacts in my address book no problem, but when I try to send an SMS to a phone number, it won't let me send. The send option isn't on the menu, and pressing enter after the message does nothing.

    I notice that if I type a number like 1234567890 it changes to "[no matches 1234567890]"

    What is going on? Do I need a special symbol to tell the phone this is a number not a contact name?

    strangely....I noticed this has something to do with the area code! When I SMS to 519xxxxxxx all works, when I SMS to 226xxxxxxx it does not work (produces no matches error).

    Weird...looks like a BB bug. Funny that area code 226 is 30min away from Blackberry headquarters in Ontario

    Well, I'm in the same area and I sent out 3 SMS to a 519 number yesterday and none of them was received.
    I didn't received an error notification either.

    I'm guessing BB is no longer maintaining their list of valid area codes....
