The new instagram is here and even before I tried it, I made sure I inquire first and the response is a fat NO! I currently have the previous version where you can tag a friend and all but we need the video. We therefore call on Xsacha to come to the rescue again. Thanks.

I'm assuming you have a PlayBook, seeing as you posted in the PlayBook section, and so there is no way Instagram will work on the PB unless/until BB10 gets released for the PB.

Now in case you have a BB10 device (in which case, try to find the right section of the forums next time ), it should work just fine if you convert it using the method xsacha posted about a week or so ago. No one can do it for you because of the very nature of the method; you must do it yourself. xsacha's guide is quite clear and his provided scripts do pretty much all the work for you. Go follow his instructions.

It doesn't work, requiring OpenGL means requiring native code, which does not work on the PB, and only works on BB10 if you use the debug tokens method published by xsacha.

I actually have the bar file on my desktop with the debug tokens method but blaze from crackberry said it was not working so I decided not to even give it a shot. Will try it in a bit and get back with you guys.

It works. Mine does. You can only watch videos tho, which I think is really cool considering the fact that we only sideload the app and don't have an official app. So get on with your sideload guys. Thanks

The video recording requires JellyBean i.e. Android 4.1+. The current Android runtime on both BB10 and PlayBook is Gingerbread i.e. Android 2.3. That's why recording video isn't available. Presumably with the 4.1 runtime for BB10 it should work fully (which I think is coming with version 10.2? or possibly already available as a beta leak or whatever). Of course, the app won't work at all on the PlayBook (which is the section of the forums this thread is in), seeing as the PB's Android runtime has no support for native code. [Obviously, if BB10 ever got released for PB this could potentially/hopefully change].

The op is asking xsacha for help but is going around being rude to other cb members. If I was xsacha I would help at all with that attitude.
Crackberry is like an elephant It's big, a force to be reckoned with and above all it never forgets, so go ahead and keep being rude but next time you open a thread and you need help they will remember how rude you were , and let's see who willing to help you then

Basically don't bite the hand that feeds you. Other members may know how to help you the way xsacha does but you being rude isn't helping your cause
