I recently purchased a Windows RT device (Microsoft Surface) and I was wondering if anyone has a guide on how to port Android applications to my BlackBerry z10..

Unless you're using a surface pro, which is the same as normal windows, I don't believe it's possible to side load apps as you cannot install the necessary applications under rt.

It is not possible, as Windows RT is missing large pieces of the functionality from normal versions of Windows that make side-loading possible.

You can if you jailbreak your surface. I don't know more info, but I'm sure Google can help.

If you can, return the RT and go with the Surface Pro. The Surface RT is really underpowered.

You won't be able to run Android apps on an RT device.

However, with the Surface Pro you will be able to install Blue Stacks Android Emulator.

I've got a demo unit RT, and I would never buy this device at the price they are charging for it.

Why would you want to run android apps on it?

Use Google Chrome, I think there is an extension for side loading but I can't remember what it is called.

You can't get BlackBerry and windows rt to talk at all. I've tried. Can't even get them to communicate through blue tooth. Surface rt is a nice toy but is very limited in its functionality to my shagrin. Got burned being an early adopter on this one. Battery life is great though.
