"Order visibility from BlackBerry has been extended to 2-3 quarters compared to a mere one quarter previously as the Canada-based smartphone vendor plans to release 3-4 new models in the second half of 2013, according to sources in BlackBerry's supply chain in Taiwan.

.....Shipments of BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10 have been maintaining at one million units a month recently, helping BlackBerry to maintain its market share, reveled the sources.

.....The launch of BlackBerry Q5, which will come with a 3.1-inch touchscreen, dual-core processor and a QWERTY keyboard, will further ramp up shipment momentum for BlackBerry, said the sources.

.....Wistron reportedly has landed orders for two entry-level models from BlackBerry, said the sources, adding that the ODM is expected to snap up 60% of smartphone orders to be released by BlackBerry in 2013."

I would like to know what the models are. I would love to see a larger screen on the Z10. Don't get me wrong I love the Z10. But I like new things too.

Difficult to tell from the quote if the source meant 1 million per month total, or 1 million per month for each model number. Sounds like the former which would be disappointing.

Keeping in mind that this would be in addition to any existing stock. Hopefully with the Q5 entering production, those numbers will increase.

I have read in an article that production of the Q10 to the Z10 is 3 to 1.

    Kick'n it with my Z10. #BB10believe

1 million a month would be disappointing. I'd even consider selling out of my stock holdings.

    Troll!

12 M handsets a year is not something to be happy about. I'd much rather bbry post gains in market share and shipments.

12M would be.....just disastrous any way you cut it. I can't imagine them coming in that low though....that would be under even the most pessimistic estimates I think. I actually read it as 1mil. for z10 and q10 apiece, but it's true, it could be interpreted a number of ways.....and of course, it's too early to make any assumptions about the q10's long term sales - even when we know the first numbers!

I am in enterprise sales and have not seen a single bb10 device. That is my concern with bbry. I see iphones and a few curves and bolds. I hope the rest of the world picks up USA slack.

They probably meant 2M a month (1M Z10 + 1M Q10). This would be in line with Peter Misek's report that said production is currently at 2M+ per month.

Enterprise buy in has not occurred yet, still in testing phase. Second half of year numbers will pick up.

Lol might want to lower expectations just the migration from legacy to bb10 in corporate/enterprise world is gonna take a while.Wouldn't take all these numbers as truth.
Many companys will be looking forward to Q5,Z5 for lower cost bulk order.

And example of the migration faze taking time. The dutch police force to update to 30,000 BB10 devices in 2014. BB expect profit but not anything to crazy.Migration money will take a while to be accounted for.

RBC just boosted their outlook for BB10: RBC boosts outlook on BlackBerry 10, sees RIM back in black this year - The Globe and Mail

They're predicting 3.75 million units for fiscal Q1, and 4 million for Q2. If this is accurate, and these types of numbers hold or increase for the full year, you'd be looking at 15+ million shipped.
