If you use the new method of signing and sideloading apps, the answer is yes.

1. Do in app updates work?
2. When the app version updates, do you need to retrieve a new app and do the whole debug token thing again?

When I installed it for the first time it said it had updates and proceeded to do them IN GAME. So updates work.

The only thing that doesnt work is in game purchases as they go through the Google Play store.

I just recently had an update as well so it's not just a 'first time boot' thing. This game is addicting!!

You will receive small updates in app, such as when gil arrives for a sale or when they add decorations (like yesterday when they returned the original lamp posts).

Major updates such as the ones we got at whacking day and the squid port will require and updated apk to be converted and reloaded (even on Android and ios, some updates happen in app, others are through the app store, the ones where the app version is updated).

Also you can not purchase donuts or scratch tickets, as there is no Google play store support.

Otherwise everything works great. It's actually faster to load on my zed than my gf's iPhone 4.
