Last year, I was astonished at the lack of concern about security among iOS and Android users, who were claiming that a higher level of security was not a selling point for smartphones. It was at that time that I predicted that one or both of these 2 platforms were just a heartbeat away from a major security scandal.
After the NSA scandal had broken last week, I went over to iMore and they did run the story, but there were only 12 responses and one of them was from me! If I was an Apple customer, I would be in a rage that Apple had given the US Government free access to my data without my permission or knowledge, but Apple fans seemed to care little.

I understand that BlackBerry phones are by far the most secure out of the box, plus their networks should be beyond the reach of the NSA. This is all a very good opportunity for BlackBerry, especially with the launch of BB10 and the new phones, which are now a real and much more secure alternative to Apple, Android and Windows.
