When I plug the charger into my PB I Get :

    1) SOLID Red light for about 20 seconds
    2) EMPTY red battery with a lightning bolt appears on the screen for about 10 seconds
    3) SOLID green/yellow light for about 15 seconds
    4) LED turns off.

Any idea what this could be?

    Thanks in advance .

It's charging correctly. you should be live by now. If not, try stack charging the unit. You can hone your search skills by looking in this forum, but basically, you plug it in for 30/45 min, unplug, wait 30 min., plug back in for 30/45 min rinse, wash, repeat....you get the idea.

I don't think PB is "off". He wouldn't get the battery icon on the screen if "off". Otherwise, yes, yellow-green pulsing oi LED to solid green when fully charged.

I've never discharged this far so I guess that is what you see.

May be something wrong with the charger. Are you using the Blackberry Charger that came with the Playbook? And plugging it in with the Blackberry logo up? See Blackberry knowledge base article which would seem to indicate that you are not getting enough power to start the charging process.
