Also of note to anyone wondering about BB10 on the PlayBook, there's 1024x600 assets in this app...

And since they said IT IS, we have no reason to believe it isn't just because they didn't mention it.

If there is a 1024x600 resolution clock app for BB10 OS, shouldn't the app also work on the PlayBook?
    Has anyone tried it?

And that post is from Xsacha, who should know about these things (technically). I'll quote him in the post you link to- "I just made a neat discovery. The apps on Blackberry 10.2 all support Playbook The ones from 10.1 didn't." One must wonder as to why BB would create these apps with support for the PB's screen resolution if they didn't intend to bring BB10 to the PB.

I was initially intrigued by the Q10. Been waiting for AT&T to release since the introduction of the device. Then came the silence, where BBRY would hardly acknowledge the Playbooks existence.

I will not be supporting BBRY by purchasing an OS10 device until the Playbook has been updated to the newer OS or another tablet is released. The ecosystem must be there. My work, my life needs it and the other players have it.

What!?!?!? isnt the playbook os based on qnx, same as bb10? I think that's why bb acquired qnx

PlayBook is technically QNX based as all BlackBerry 10 phones.

But the PlayBook OS is a lower version.

The same reason why you can't get a 10.2 app working on a 10.0 OS (in most cases), it's not possible to run any BlackBerry 10+ app on the PlayBook.

But as soon PlayBook gets updated to OS 10.2+, native Apps should run on the PlayBook as some files indicate that BlackBerry is targeting the different screen resolution.

I don't bounce around on PB OS forum much but... I gotta say, I'm waiting very impatiently for a PB/Z10 bridged setup similar to PB/Torch (OS7) had kickin. My sense is; it could take a bit to catch on but when it does, it would be the ultimate phone/tablet combo going & help sell PB's and BB10 phones.
I (gasp....) ditched BB for about 8 months and went droid with a GS3 & even dropped my 64g PB and opted for a note 10.1. I wish I hadn't. One of the best options I used w/ my Torch/PB was plugging my PB into my TV & controlling it from my fat-man's chair. Being able to do almost everything on my PB I could do on my Torch (except make phone calls)
I would love for this set up again w/my Z10. Maybe an 8" or 10" PB???..... Lets go BBRY!!!!
