2nd time I have this, my contacts are all gone. (exchange sync) my linkedin are still there even though I've disabled them in settings.

Previous time contacts came back after a while and linkedin were gone as it should be.
But now again the same problem.
Not sure it has anything todo with this, but I was roaming, disabled data traffic, wifi only, enabled data traffic again saw issue coming up.
After 1 hour still nothing there. I'm afraid reboot will only trigger possible fix

Very annoying if you're in the need of contact info.
Os 10.1.0.273

Please fix this major bug

Rebooted device, contacts come back. Still linked in contacts are there while they shouldn't

I had the same issue while roaming. I disabled my data connection and used only wifi. Some of my exchange contacts disappeared while my Facebook contacts were not.

I thought it was because I updated around that period to 10.1.

The issue even deleted the contacts permanent on my exchange server. Very serious because I lost hundreds of contacts. Next week I leave for 4 days to Italy. I'm afraid that I'll loose again contacts.

I have the same problem with my Q10. Like you, I find that restarting the device solves the problem.

About once a week I go into my contacts and can only access names that with S through Z. What's up with that? I don't to reboot, just open and close a few times

I Too am loosing my contacts, I only have exchange active sync setup with exchange 2010. I have replaced the phone and have not installed any third party apps except BlackBerry travel

What is happening with you BlackBerry? Aren't you capable to fix such an important issue? First of all its a PHONE and all users need CONTACTS. You can't let us down that way! I'm having such a hard time with this "Contacts" app... New OS Builds are worse than 10.0 ... Why?!

Each time I edit any contact (add a phone number or email) all of my Exchange (active sync) contacts disappear (a few houra after the edit.). If I then edit the account settings, turn off contact sync, save, turn on contact sync and save again - the contacts then get downloaded again from Exchange.

I can reproduce this each time.

Seems like a basic sync bug - makes the device quite useless.

Same here. Z10 with 10.1.0.4181 and contacts app set up to sync with Exchange server over Active Sync, Facebook and LinkedIn.

There seems to be a bug with EAS accounts which can be solved by disabling Memo sync in the EAS sync settings. See the following thrrad:
