BlackBerry Q5 spotted in FCC filing equipped with AT&T 3G connection | Electronista

It looks like the Q5 might be available in the states
Would you buy the Q5, and do you think Blackberry should provide an alternative to the Q10 in the states?

Hmm...I wonder how AT&T will price this. I don't know if a $50 difference between the Q10 and the Q5 would be enough, given the "lower" tier nature of the latter.

I reported this already but anyway I expected CrackBerry to run this, glad we thought to post it OP.

    Haha. Me too.

Soo neither the OP's source nor Engadget say anything about LTE, and I'm too lazy to look through the FCC filings. Will this device not have LTE bands?

No, i dont believe its LTE capable. But i do wonder if it has 4G at least ?

I'm pretty sure it would. The bands are the same, and AT&T's '4G' network has to be bigger than its 3G network at this point...

So if no LTE is confirmed, this device has to be priced to move. I'm thinking $99 or lower now. Previously I was thinking in the $129 range.

Sorry guys didn't realize you posted this story, as for LTE I don't think it will there's no mention of LTE anywhere , I have seen it will be available on EE in the UK on 4g.

Agree totally. It HAS to be $99 or lower if there is no 4G.

Oh...by reporting I meant I "news tipped" your post for a CB blog article.

The EE model may not mean much when predicting the bands on the AT&T model. That being surprised, I'd be really surprised if EE (or any other carrier) gets an LTE model while AT&T doesn't.

although I know that the curve was popular back then in U.S. but I'm not sure if this will be a good move. Not sure if an entry level device is needed here.

There is always a market for a quality entry level phone.
