I imagine not. When Verizon stores were selling the z for 199, amazon had it for 99. Now that Verizon has dropped their price to 99, it follows that amazon would drop theirs as well.

Is this to get ready for the Q10 or to try and blow out stock due to poor sales? I sure hope its the former.

Amazon will honour the price change if it happens within a certain time period. They used to do it automatically, but better send an email to be safe

We were expecting the price to drop when the Q was released, just as the Q price will drop within a few months of it's release. They all drop a few months after release. That's the new plan subsidized price too, not the retail.

Well, after ~10-12 days I'm still undecided whether to keep it or not but if TMO would match it I'd probably keep my Z10... I guess will wait until Q10 launches on T-Mobile this week and if no price drop then I'll give them a call.

So they credited me the $50 back! Not I have a $50 z10 I'm typing on which is pretty amazing. Hopefully it's not a bad sign for the company.

Where are you finding this price directly from Verizon? I am still seeing the Z10 listed for $199 with new contract or upgrade on Verizon.com. I know a lot of other retailers are selling them for $99.99, but from what I have seen, Verizon is still selling at $199.

Fry's had the Z for free, with a new contract or upgrade, a week or two ago. You could check if that promotion is still going on.

    *sigh*

It's a great promotion, but make sure you read the details of the plan you're signing up for. You might end up paying more over the long haul. Nobody is taking a bath on the Z. This ain't the PlayBook.

I think it's great that the carriers are using the Z10 as bait. The more hands it gets into, the better.

That's true. BlackBerry Just needs to make sure it fixes the contacts issues and the restart issues, because the general masses will not be patient with that type of thing.
