I've read a few articles on the web that say it is possible to request the desktop version of website. Apparently it is an all or nothing option (not done for particular sites) selected through the settings, but I can't find that anywhere in the settings. I've tried both the browser settings, by clicking the 3 vertical dots at the bottom and then going to settings, and also looking though the main settings from the home screen.

Can anyone tell me where this option is hidden?

That person meant to say open your browser, hit menu, settings, developer tools, then toggle the desktop mode to the on position.

It works great, by the was, when you don't always want to be directed to a mobile site.

Thanks. I find developer tools a very weird place to put it.

I hope that they will put it right in the main menu section, and make it an option that you select for individual sites instead of all or none (the way it is on Android). Hopefully that will be part of a future update (near future would be great).
