So I was checking out the remote file access feature on 10.1 and I realized that on my computer I had the Google drive app(Windows).
I added the Google drive folder to Blackberry Link .Here you go I have Google Drive on my Z10 with background processing!

    Steps:
    Step 1 : Download Google drive https://tools.google.com/dlpage/drive.
Step 2:Enable Blackberry Link if you haven't and both on your device and PC or Mac (Remote File Access)
Step 3:Link the Google Drive folder that should look like this "C:\Users\USERNAME\Google Drive
    Step 4:Have fun!

Files & Folders also supports Google Drive directly, and BB Link too.

The main thing here is files edited via Link are saved as an overwrite on the remote computer (changes are automatically synced back to host). Files edited via Files and folders or Playcloud are downloaded local copies that must be re uploaded to the Google Drive Server. Too many steps. I set up Skydrive, Google Drive, and Sugar Sync this way, plus I can access half a terabyte of data as needed. I imagine the other apps will get there too, but Link truly is a killer feature.

Yes but you can upload a file and close the file manager and the upload will continue not like play cloud were you would have to wait. It's instant I have tried it.

You can use PlayCloud to use Google Drive.

You will be able to use the Google drive sharing features too. At last you will be able to use Google doc features (with convert support)

Of course as for any application, you have to keep the application in background to download / upload a media.

Windows Google Drive's software supports converting to Google Doc but from my BB10 I just have a file called Google Drive in file manager (remote file access).Drop files and close the app and it will continue unlike play cloud. Plus it's completely free. You could do the same with Dropbox...

    Right

But with PlayCloud you don't need your computer. And you can convert documents directly from the application.

Background transfers (with application closed) will be available as BlackBerry will provide the API...

And with blackberry link, you can't share your media

You right about not needing a computer but needing one is very easy to have and to let it in unless it's a laptop...Other then that Link all the way as I have my whole computer as a cloud storage...

I'm the developer - you can follow my thread on this forum

Do you have tried PlayCloud trial (for BlackBerry 10) ? You can't compare with PlayCloud for PlayBook

Design is totally new - many features in add on as print support.

That is why you are defending your own app....I haven't tried playcloud because it isn't free..I wish but I don't know if it is worth it.I know there is no background processing like file manager has.

There is a trial release for PlayCloud.

All transfers are in background. Whereas it isn't the case with the native file manager.

I installed Link, and imported my google drive folder...

In the google drive folder in Link I am getting a "This folder does not contain any supported documents." message so it is not syncing my google spreadsheets...

I think it is because they are .gsheet extensions... is there any way around this?

Basically, he's using remote desktop to access it.
I personally have this 3rd party cloud access app for Sky drive, G Drive and works flawlessly. It's cheaper than a bottle of water too.

    You should use PlayCloud.

It permits to use all the Google drive feature in particular Google doc to convert documents and Google sharing.

    Soon Google cloud print.
