I just got my unlocked Q10. I am headed out in about 2 hours to go to a baseball game tonight. Is the first charge going to last me through the night (figure from 5 PM until midnight)? I will be setting up a couple of email accounts and just using it for texting and some light browsing. I figure it will improve as I use it, but sometimes my first charges go quick.

Just looking for quick input if I should roll the dice and bring it or wait it out.

    Thanks

If it's fully charged, then it should last you that long easily (esp. with light use).

Should always do a full charge before using, but not required. What you DO want to avoid is draining the battery down to nothing - results in permanent damage and reduced capacity later on.

Mine lasted over 12 hours after the first charge and my usage was probably akin to your plans, so you should be good,
    Have fun!

As above, if it has a fully charged battery, it definitely will.

Charging my new Q10 after a total drain after receiving it. First load held 14 hours with limited usage.

I expect to get 1.5+ days with my normal usage pattern and battery a bit better trained

Draining Li-Ion batteries to "train" them has been debunked, all it does is damage and shorten their lifespan.
