I recently contacted the Met Office to ask if they had any plans for expanding the range of apps they had for Android, iphone and windows

they responded by saying
"I have been informed that there are currently no plans for a Blackberry App. We are keeping a close eye on how Blackberry 10 performs and will regularly review this decision. "

to which I pointed out that they might be interested to know that some companies are starting by porting Android to test the water.

They then responded
" At present we are collating all feedback regarding the Met Office weather App, which will be escalated to our Public Weather Services team. This will give them an opportunity to review what the public are telling us and from this will be able to refine and progress the product. "

So - just wondered if anyone is interested in this would they contact the metoffice so at least they are aware of the interest or not.

I would suggest getting your social media followers and the likes to 'petition' the Met Office to get an app created

I emailed them recently too.

Their response was a simple and to the point: there are currently no plans to release an app for the Blackberry.

I guess that's it! APK to BAR here we come!
