I only use it for public transit. I'm now finding that the search function doesn't work at all in the browser. There seems to be no way to "submit" a search query and get it to respond.

In contrast, Nokia Here works perfectly.

I'm running .2342. I don't know if this is an OS thing or something Google did to the mobile site.

Works perfectly for me. Just verified. Picked up my GPS location in under a second. Then searched and found an address for a place 40 minutes drive from here.

Which OS version are you using? It simply doesn't work on mine. I can type the search entry into the search field, but I can't get it to act on it.

    Could be a .2342 glitch.

That's not it. I see that part of the problem is that Google Maps isn't activating the GPS. Nokia Here does.

When the site first opens up and that prompt that asks whether you want Google Maps to access your location, perhaps you accidentally hit cancel and the browser denied the site the adequate permissions? Or, maybe the .2342 build never gave you guys the option to select it in the first place?

Sorry. But at least it helps narrow down the problem.

Yes. It doesn't fix the problem. Here's what does: Open Nokia Here in browser, which activates GPS, then open Google Maps in browser and close Nokia. Then it works properly.

Getting directions stopped working for me too. I read on another thread to clear cookies and other data in the browser settings and it's now working again. I'm using a Q10 and running OS 10.1.0.4633

    Hope this helps you too

Google Maps mobile site simply doesn't work in my BlackBerry Browser - Q10 with 10.1.0.273. Can't submit a search. When I posted about it here, I was attacked with countless people saying how it worked for them and how it must be something I'm doing wrong.

Of course, these people were all incorrect. There is clearly an error in the Browser. I have downloaded the Evolution Browser and BeMaps Pro, and both work fine for searching Google Maps.

Not that I should have to jump through hoops to get a mobile website to work that has worked for years on every other platform, but so goes the ways of BlackBerry today...
