    Hello Team CrackBerry!

We're happy to announce that our application Handy Scanner for BlackBerry 10 was recently granted the honorable "Built for BlackBerry" certification, that is given to apps delivering great quality and true BlackBerry experience.

    App Name: Handy Scanner
Summary: Portable scanner for creating PDFs from images
    Price: $1.99

    With your BlackBerry 10 device:

    With you browser:

Handy Scanner allows you to easily create PDFs using images taken with your camera, previously stored on the device, or even received via email, BBM, NFC, WhatsApp and any other application.

It can handle multiple images to create a multi-page PDF, edit each image individually (rotate and/or crop so it better fits the page, adjust brightness/contrast for a better look, apply the Grayscale filter to remove colors), save it as a PDF with a single tap, and then instantly send it over email, BBM, NFC, Bluetooth or open in Adobe Reader.

We value BlackBerry experience a lot, that's why Handy Scanner is deeply integrated into BlackBerry 10 operating system. As a result - anywhere you can see a picture, whether it is email attachment preview, Pictures app, BBM or WhatsApp, you can open it in Handy Scanner right from context menu.

We're convinced that the approach "release early, release often" is a better way of making good apps because it allows us to deliver new features to our customers faster. That's why we take short release cycles and add new features iteratively.

Currently we're working on image enhancements, so you will be able not only rotate and crop images, but also tweak brightness, contrast, or make pictures black and white.
Update: these features were added in Version 2.2.

Among other features that are planned there are different paper sizes (not only Letter but also Legal, A4, etc.), adjustable page borders, setting PDF quality and so on.

We create apps for you, and we value your input a lot. That's why you're always welcome to send us an email and tell us what you think and what you'd like to see in the future releases (you can find the email on app's "Help" screen).

    Enjoy!

    Hi,

Any chances you bring camera button back to toolbar? I know it's there in image picker but that's an extra click while there is plenty of unused space on the toolbar...

Can u please tell me two things about this app:

    1. What is the file size of the pdf per page.
    2. Can we scan multiple pages one after the other and then save the file at the end or we have to save one page and then add another and so on.

    Hi,

    1. The file size depends on a picture size, it might shrink after you do some editing (e.g. crop), so it can be anywhere from 200K up to 1M per page. Adjusting PDF size/quality by setting DPI is scheduled for one of the next releases though.
    2. Yes, you can add multiple images and make multi-page PDFs (currently one image per page).

Version 2.4 is available in BlackBerry World!

    New in this release:
    * saving files to SD card (optional)
    * Camera button is back on acton bar
    * assistant grid for Camera view (optional, 2 different modes)
    * bubble level for Camera view (optional)

Two last changes are better shown as a picture:
    Handy Scanner for BlackBerry 10-bubble_level.jpg

The grid helps you orient you camera properly, while the bubble level helps you hold it horizontal, so you get better shots and better-looking PDFs after.

And don't forget to leave your 5 star reviews - that's what makes us happy, and when we're happy we deliver new awesome features faster!
