Would be kinda cool if BlackBerry made a Z5 that is a smaller and cheaper version of the Z10. I have heard people saying that the Z10 is too big, which I thing is really stupid. The Z10 is fine

I find it too big for 1 handed use.. I've dropped mine a couple times trying to reposition my hand to reach the top of the screen lol

Give it a 3.5" screen and a little smaller footprint and it would be great for folks that get their kids phones and also for those adults of smaller stature.

You can't make a Z5 smaller than the Z10 otherwise you'll need a more expensive display with higher pixel density to match the same resolution as the Z10. And please don't suggest that BB make a new screen resolution for a mid-level phone.

The Z5 will turn out to be the Z15!

It would be a 3.7inch screen like the 9860. No hdmi, 8gb memory. same processor and ram. 5mp camera. Done.

    Likely no removable battery either.

One of the minor criticisms of BlackBerry in the past was that there were too many different screen sizes for app developers to consider when compared to iPhone. Now that Android comes in all sizes and flavours perhaps this is no longer an issue.

I think when the Z5 will come out it's almost the same specs as the Z10. At the same time there will be a new Z10 Dua-Two-Dos whatever.

Think a new one with 1,8 or 2 ghz quadcore, 2 Mb ram and 4,7/5 inch screen and 32 gb ram (with 64 Mb) adversting up to 100 Gb price 500 euro/600 dollar

Z5 just 1,5 Ghz, 4,0 LED screen, 2 Gb Gb Ram, 16 Gb still hdmi price 3250 euro/300 dollar

the only worry i have there is no second thouscreen but there will be a second with qwerty but in Europe most people use touchscreen and not waiting 4 qwerty mobile.

Future all touch devices will have a 1280x720 resolution. The z10's resolution is a one time thing

Yeah this would be a great idea.. Blackberry will need it, it can no longer compete in the higher-end smartphone market

I think that a Z5 could sell but I'd like to see BB10 move forwards and not backwards first.

I like the product road map that we've seen on the net. BlackBerry has started well with a mid spec phone(Z10). As newer BB10 devices are released the older BB10 devices can be marked as entry level devices. I wouldn't like to see a BB10 device with a lower spec than the Z10's.

If I were to introduce a new phone I'd release a new higher spec Z10.2 at the same price point as the current Z10 and market the current Z10 as a Z5.

As far as mobile device size is concerned, the 2 biggest single components in the devices are the screen and the battery. Reduce the size of one and the size of the other will follow. Personally I don't want smaller batteries and the resulting shorter battery life.

In my opinion the Z10 is as small as a business and lifestyle focused touch screen phone should get.

There were loads of articles mentioning this in the run up to the BlackBerry 10 being launched. Crackberry has said it a few times too
