    I am in deep $hit!

    Saw the CB article about the Animoog app and bought it! It was around 1pm today. It asked for access to my Microphone and Share Files. At first, I did not grant access to Shared Files. The app started with a blank and black sceen! So I changed app permissions and it started. Pretty cool!

    So after a long day's work, I got home, connected my Z10 to computer and wanted to work on my apps. They were saved on my Z10 device memory.

    The contents of my Documents folders were different. I had a lot of folders there, including half a dozen for the apps I have beenworking on! I double checked. Still the same.

    Then I realized this could be the Animoog! Look at this one:

    The Documents folder was updated right after I installed the Animoog app!

    Those who bought the apps, please check your Documents folder on the device!

    It did create files in the documents.... I didn't have anything in there though so not sure if overwrites...

    This happened to me too. Unlike the OP, I granted access to shared files after installation, so that isn't a contributing factor.

    The entire contents of /accounts/1000/shared/documents is deleted and replaced by three Animoog folders (mappings, presets and projects) and a global.config file.

    Not good!

    Well, got some back via BlackBerry link. But not all, and not up to date - I lost a lot of work. 'fortunately' it was all personal stuff rather than work work, but still. How could this be allowed to happen?

    I guess now I'll stick everything on box.

    Great app, but this sort of thing is pathetic. Who wipes a default dir before creating additional content?

    Same thing when i installed animoog yesterday, noticed that my documents folder had been re-written over.

    Not good of the app to do that :/

    So that's what it was... my documents got wiped as well... and also I experienced my first random reboot as well yesterday... hopefully that was a one time thing, but terrible...

    Menus do need a larger font size. hard to see with my 40 year old eyes. other than that, most fun Ive had in years.
    Same here but I keep all my documents on the sd card so its moot to me.

    My documents folder didn't have anything in it thankfully, but I'm sorry to the people who lost stuff.

    Some others also seem to be having this issue, not necessarily due to lack of knowledge. Can you navigate to \misc\samples folder and see if playing any of the .wav files makes a noise? (Or try 'Preview' for one of the samples in the 'Timbres' module in-app.)

    I will say, the sound through the external speakers is very quiet in some cases. 'default' preset, I could eventually hear with volume turned way up and pressing hard on the keys in the mid-range of the pitch slider. Put on headphones, and you'll shock yourself with the same settings.

    But nothing burns up the battery like a couple of hours with Animoog (understandably -- a great deal of processing going on!)
