Tried 3 different cards. Even an BB card as in your example and NONE of them worked.

I'm trying to improve this, for card with black background you need to turn off flash, and capture it in low lighting so the ocr can recognize text better. I'm not sure 100% text of cards can recognize it's depend on the quality of the image. It's still need to improve more and more. Here are the original images you can try with your Z10.

Didn't use flash and the images were sharper than yours. I tried also white backround and so on. Nothing seemed to work out.

And tbh it doens't help much if your examples work and no other card.

Please upload your sample cards. It's very helpful for me and other users to figure out why this application does not work.

this app does work well anytime plain business card is scanned. but it does not do good job scanning business cards with colorful backbrounds or fancy fonts.

I know these OCR type programs are not 100% accurate. I've used them on various smart phones in the past and the best are about 80% accuracy, usually some editing required. But it sounds like this app at this time is far less polished. Dilemma is, I like to support programmers that are writing for BB10, but the two issues I see are price and the feedback here. $5.00 is a lot of money for an app that's apparently not near ready for prime time.

Sorry, didn't see that if there is. In that case I'll give it a try and hopefully the op will supply some of the technical updates to the free demo. When it's up around that 80% mark, I'll buy.

your app is better but needs more refinement. most cards i have scanned with it have problems that needs to be corrected. some cards just are not good to be scanned with your app.

If you have any problems with your cards please send card image to my email [email protected]. Currently I'm using default ocr training data and does not support fancy fonts. I'm trying to improve the quality and speed of this application.

I will update full version frequently also using embedded camera to scan multiple cards (next version 4.0). Lite version only scan 1 card with default camera.

So what is coming in new version? I am thinking about buying full version. But frankly I think it is expensive especially that it still work in progress. 4 out of 5 business cards i scanned with your app would need few corrections. I like your app and i think it is useful but i would like to know what is coming in the pipeline before I pay $5 for it
