I have the Z10 with the latest official 10.1 OS installed. A friend has just received the Q10, latest 10.1 OS as well. We attempted to do a BBM Video chat to gauge the quality of the video over WiFi, however it would keep trying to connect but never complete connection. We were both on the same WiFi network, so I thought that could be causing a problem and tried it while over LTE. Same thing. Anybody know what the issue could be?

    G'day Folks,

I currently have the same issue as you guys. I'm with Telus in Canada, works perfectly fine on LTE as soon I use WIFI.... I have connection issues.

Could you try this at home and let me know if it's working for you?

KB26816-Using Video Chat, BBM Voice, or BBM Video behind a firewall

    Same thing different website:

BBM Video Connection Issues | Serious Mobile

I tried it at my end, with no luck. Maybe if it's working for you guys... I will focus more on my port forwarding settings on my router running tomato 1V 1.28.

    Good luck!

I did the following test with a friend :

    Z10 wifi - Q10 wifi = no go
    Z10 3G - Q10 wifi = no go
    Z10 3G - Q10 3G = YES
    Z10 wifi - Q10 3G = YES
    Z10 3G - Q10 wifi = no go

So basically as asoon as the Q10 is on Wi-Fi it doesn't work... But it could be his Wi-Fi haven't tried with an other one...

"BBMVoiceandBBMVideocommunicates with the following addresses and therefore they need to be white-listed.

    sip.voip.blackberry.com:443
    bbmvideo.blackberry.com:443
    turn.voip.blackberry.com:3478"

How do I whitelist that ^ do I have to call my provider because I can't find the option on my router anywhere

I would like to know too. I tried LTE to LTE, and BBM Video worked. But if one of us is on WiFi (either my end or their end) it doesn't work at all. This should work "out of the box" and not require technical gymnastics to fix.

I'm sure that many aren't having issues using BBM Video over WiFi, but the focus here is with those who are. I've tried everything explained in DLC's link, but to no avail. Surely CB can create a how-to somewhere?

My question is, what happens when you do screen share between Z10 and Q10!? Since they are different screen resolutions, how do the phones handle it?

I did this with my brother in law who has a q10. Worked like a charm. We both shared our screens to make sure.

But how does it show, how does the full z10 screen shared to the q10 appear on the q10 screen, or how does the q10 shared to the z10 appread on the z10 screen?

Does it show full screen on both phones? Or is it adjusted to fit? Or does the z10 show black lines on the top and bottom with the middle showing the q10 screen, and/or does the q10 have black lines on the left and right with a tall skinny middle showing the z10 screen?

I didn't see how it shows on the q10 because we are in different cities, but on my z10 it was full screen.

When the Q10 is sharing its screen: On the Z10 the screen appears as it does on the Q10 with a 1:1 aspect ratio, so it's square (top and bottom black bars).

When the Z10 is sharing its screen: On the Q10 the screen appears as it does on the Z10 with a 15:9 aspect ratio (likely black bar/s on the side?), just smaller.

On home networks, isn't the 443 port used for something else network wise. In which in some case it is blocked because if I recall it is the tcp/udp port on routers for tls/ssl. Usually some routers have this port closed.
