    I think it's great if used properly. People that have iphones or Android that use BBM would be curious of BlackBerry. Best advertising platform ever

    So, not wishing to upset anyone, but why would an iPhone user (say) prefer BBM to Whatsapp? I don't use Whatsapp so I don't have an angle here. Is it buggy, or battery intensive? What's BBM's big advantage now the installed base is tiny? Just askin'

    The BBM advantage is that no-one need to know your contact numbers before they chat with you. With WhatsApp, once someone gets hold of your numbers, they can send you chats.
