Cool thanks for the response. One other question, does it void warranty?

No it does not. HOWEVER, the legal protection previously in place for unlocking without carriers' permission has been lifted.

I just unlocked my Z10 on Koodo. I did it through crackberryunlocking.com seeing as they had a sale going. It took approximately 12 hours to get my code and it worked flawlessly. I had few questions and the support team were very quick with their replies and very useful. I highly recommend it!

I have z10 haven't unlocked it yet. Unlocked my Q10 last week. Used crackberry. They said could take 12+hrs. Other sites said up to 72hrs. It took 2HOURS. :-). Worked smoothly and perfectly. Thanks Crackberry. Unfortunately I just missed the sale. But very pleased with the service

You should not have to pay for unlock codes. I'm in the UK and i just called my carrier (O2) and within 24hrs i had an email confirming the code and then they called me to talk me through the steps required. All for free. I just said i travelled a lot and would benefit from an unlocked device. They were happy to help.

Are they required by law to provide you with a code, or just courtesy towards a customer? There's no such law in the US, however carriers do give you the code if you request it for traveling purposes and you've been a customer in good standing for "a while."

Probably the same here. I just know i didn't have any problems acquiring a code. However, i am a long time customer with travel plans. It seems like if it's that easy, they'll just do it for you to make sure you continue being a customer. Never underestimate consumer power lol.
