Does anyone know if there is a way to get "most recent" posts on a search rather than "top tweet" search?

When I search a stock (eg. $bbry) I want to see what has been posted most recently... i don't care what people were saying about the stock 3 days ago i want to know what is being said RIGHT NOW. Disabling this ability to me defeats the entire purpose of using twitter...i could really care less what is "most popular". i'm on twitter to stay current. not to follow a trend.

- sometimes error "you're not connected to the internet", to fix that, must restart my zed
- UI? really bad, try to slide profile page, black background is not slick..
- photo viewer on every friend's profile is not available

Still not up to par IMO. I didn't think I'd like Blaq because I didn't like it on the playbook, but thought: "hey, their app is just so much more functional than Twitter, I'll just bite the bullet." Honestly, I'm damn impressed. Twitter still sucks. I was on a user profile and couldn't even find an option to "Mention" them. Further more, can't even click on tweets that are favorited or re tweeted in the interactions tab, and clicking on tweets is very inconsistent throughout while follow conversations, etc. It's pretty pathetic. We can't even see lists yet. Like seriously why even bother with an app? It's so bad it shocks me and there's just so much more wrong with it as well.

Like I say, it's an improvement but still not on par with Blaq.
Frustrating when an official application built is as a native app to an OS can be beaten so badly by a 3rd party.

Which is weird. I thought I saw "Tweet Caching" in their change log. Blaq loads in 1.5 seconds flat every time for me

Lists are inaccessible currently in the official Twitter app and that is why I don't use it.

I spent time trying to figure this out and it seems like it's impossible. I use Blaq most of the time, but use the Twitter app sometimes for searches and a couple of other things that Twitter limits for 3rd party apps. I absolutely HATE that they removed the ability to search All and replaced it with Top Tweets. I'm the same way in that I don't care about what people wrote about #hashtag 3 days ago, I want to see what people are writing NOW.

In the meantime you can use Blaq which will search for All instead of Top Tweets, but the results are currently capped at 100.

The native Twitter apps are always a little bit lame. Only time I use it is to quote a tweet as Blaq for some reason doesn't or can't do it.

Blaq can quote tweets. Open the tweet in its own Window, press and hold the retweet icon. You should get a menu pop out from the right side, middle icon is re tweet with quote.
