This photo was taken on the Z10 while my friend was doing 140km/hr. on the highway.

Thought it looked pretty impressive for the speed we were going, plus not being very stable while the photo was taken. Also this was taken with zoom as we were in the express taking the pic of the car in the collector lane.

    Z10 camera rocks!

I believe it. Wish I still had the picture to prove it, but I was in a car and took a picture of a street sign while we were doing 100km/h. Took the photo perfectly, no blur or anything. And I had my camera on pretty much the standard settings.

Hopefully that is not the real colour of a GTR, but just a camera issue... because it looks like hot pink to me.

So what your saying is that your friend was asking to kill someone by driving 140 in a 90 zone, neat. But on the other hand, nice picture if it's legit. I'm very impressed with the camera on the Z10, so it's believable.

    It was a 100km zone.

And I was shocked myself when I took it.

I was wondering when someone was gonna mention that :P Regardless, 140 way too excessive, even in a 100 zone .

Took this at about 70-75MPH. You'll have to do the conversion...

As a trucker, I must say, your friend is an inconsiderate dangerous ******* who makes our roadways just that much less safe. Recognition and response time at that speed is so short. He could easily cause a major incident (I won't call it an accident because it's not). Killing law abiding commuters and people like myself who are working. And before you tell me about all the fast trucks you see out there, my truck is governed at 102km/h and trucks in Canada are mandated at 105 km/h. Your friend has a death wish. I just hope he doesn't take anyone else out when he looses it at that speed.

Come to Los Angeles. Here in the highway the average speed at low traffic hours is around 120Kmph to 135Kmph. Despite the speed signs stating a max of 105Kmph

Come to Germany, you can drive as fast as you want on some motorways. Personally I don't think picture was taken on that speed, it is not easy take picture of object on the move (look at the background) .

Actually, when converted for us Yanks (US) the 140kmh is actually 85mph. Kinda fast, but only 15 mph above most speed limits. Good stuff. Post more moving pix. Throw in a blur or two. Show of the power of the Z10.

Be careful about posting stuff like this in public. I remember when someone posted a video of himself going at excessively high speed on a motorcycle on a deserted highway on Vancouver Island, and the cops showed up at his door only because some asshat reported the video to them.

As for my opinion - 140 is not a dangerous speed if the coast is clear and the tires and road can handle it. It's more about being able to drive safely without distractions. Besides, I really doubt the chances of getting killed or seriously injured increase that much versus going at the 100 km/h speed limit - both are high speeds that have claimed plenty of lives before. I have a friend whose dad died in an 80 km/h accident and he was driving a relatively safe Toyota Camry. Of course, if you're going at 200 km/h we have a serious problem here because tires on ordinary cars aren't made for that speed, it's much more difficult to stop suddenly, etc...

Not saying that I encourage people to be speed demons - but that this particular scenario really isn't a big deal.

    Easy explanation....
I'm guessing that because of the high speed, the rest of the color spectrum had not caught up with the car yet.
    I think it's freekin' awesome!!
I'm just wondering how well it picked up the colors of the police lights??
