Restore your device using BlackBerry Link. It'll wipe it and reload the factory OS.

What updates are you talking about? BB Link provides the option to "reload software" or something like that. Do you see that option or anything similar? (I'm at work so I don't remember the exact verbage).

I've been trying to reload the OS back to 10.0 myself.. I've been trying the "Restore to factory settings" option within the "Restore" screen when you click on your device in BlackBerry Link. That's the closest to reloading OS as I've found within BBLink.

Also, after my phone displays the shredding icon for 10 or 15 minutes, BB Link continues saying "Waiting for device to reboot" and it never does. It resets to just a charging state, then goes into the normal initial setup once I press the power button. It does wipe everything, but does not restore the OS, unfortunately.

    @KemKev,
I have tried exactly what has been written in BBKB but via www.blackberry.com/update. Phone does go through green light phase and then there is a pop up on screen which says there are no updates available.

Current version Link reload option does not work. Click on it and nothing happens. My Z10 is carrier neutral so carrier won't push update to my device. I am running leaked 10.1.0.264 as of now but would like to go back to stock OS as credit card option does not work and want to wait until official OS does not get realsed.

I just wonder why aren't stock OS versions available for direct download like olden days?

Will try this. I have tried removing battery during secure wipe but that didn't brick Z10.

Is this safe? stopping the install midway?

Is it safe? Probably not something you should do frequently, might be stressful on the hardware.

Does it work? Yes, it does. If nothing else works, there isn't another choice. BB Link does not restore factory settings like the button says, it just does a regular security wipe. I've done it after installing a leak, and now I'm on Verizon's official OS version 10.0.9.422, more or less back to normal or what Verizon believes to be normal.

The button you need to find, in Link, is "RELOAD". That will erase your phone and install the latest carrier version.

    return to os carrier

    1- pull battery out
    2- open bblink version 1.1.0.33
3- click on setting top right corner
4- plug your phone to computer
    5- insert battery in
6- while booting up click on your phone left bottom corner
7- you should see a window popping up, during reboot, that give you the choice of reloading to carrier setting

    if that doesn't work

use auto loader to soft brick the phone

    1- bring up auto loader
2- run it till bootroom shows up
    3- plug phone
4- while writing for one minute = unplug phone
    5- go to bblink,
6- open settings of bblink using version 1.1.0.33
    7- plug in phone
8- click on your phone when it shows up
9- far left there is a restore button from factory. that is the one you need to use
daizymom, ghz and yellow stone like this.

Finally, I was able to reload the carrier OS on my phone. Though was a bit worried while bricking the device intentionally.

If your carrier is on 10.0 you can grab Sachup (there's a thread here with it) and use that to obtain the two "Debrick" files for your carrier. Combine those two files (the current Sachibar can do it for you) into an autoloader.

That will put the phone back on your carrier's official 10.0 release. Note that there is no way to restore your data in that circumstance. You can try to non-destructively load that firmware via Sachibar (without combining the two files into an autoloader -- just load them using Sachibar directly) -- I have done this successfully going between 10.1 releases but not back to 10.0 -- I have no idea if it will work or not.

If you DO attempt this using Sachibar drop BOTH files into the installer at once, otherwise if the radio is incompatible with the OS the phone won't boot (and you'll have to make a radio-only autoloader to flash the right version to match the OS)

If you want 10.0.0.85 (the T-Mobile official release and many others) you can use 310 260 for the country and carrier code -- that will get you the T-Mobile official files and should work for version 2 and 3 hardware. It may not for 4 since it has a different radio and DEFINITELY won't for "1" (different processor)

    Welcome to CrackBerry Forums.

There are autoloaders posted in several threads on this forum. They tend to be around 1GB large.

I just upgraded to one of the leaked BB10.1.... , and it messed up with my phone. My Z10 was bought from Verizon and I currently live in Indonesia.

To downgrade to 10.0....., I just plug in my Z10 to Blackberry Link and press "reload software device", it then downloaded the 10.0.... version.

    Thanks be to God!
