There is a problem with my z10 switching on.

It is showing the following one when connected to charger and Shows nothing and no response from the device when it is not connected to charger
Z10 Not Turning On And Displaying Battery with Exclamatory Mark (!) In it when connected to charger-j7tchc.jpg
And When the battery is removed and keeping the device connected to charger the following one appears

Z10 Not Turning On And Displaying Battery with Exclamatory Mark (!) In it when connected to charger-164240_506916246038651_169504473_n.jpg

There is no more response from the device when it is not connected to charger or when power button is pressed for few sec.

Is it battery's problem or the device's.

    Help me with this pals

Could still have water lurking inside. How many days did you let it dry out? You may want to put the phone in a bag of rice with the battery door off and battery out (completely cover the phone in rice) to draw out any remaining water.

This hurts me as well, good luck with getting it back to life. It doesn't look like there's much hope, but don't give up yet.

    Try another battery if possible,
There is a small chance that maybe the os us damaged, so if completely dry, fire up BlackBerry link on your pc then with your Z10 turned off plug it into the pc with a us cable and turn the phone on,
See if it prompts you to reload the operating system
Its a long shot, but you never know.
    Good luck.

I do not believe it is for water damage...If you purchased insurance through your carrier it may cover a replacement due to water damage.

Can we assume that the water drop had not damaged the device but it had damaged the battery?

If The device is dead why will it Display the Battery On screen?

Throw it and the battery in a bag of rice for a 2-3 days (with the battery removed), then try powering it up. Rice acts as a natural desiccant and will get any remnants of moisture out of the device.

It's easier to say you lost it...not stolen. stolen claims require a police report. Water damage requires you to send the old phone in. Then sell me the phone so I can turn my black z10 white

Btw, try the rice route for 2-3 days. I've had the same problem with my old 9700. I dropped it in a drain no an full of washer fluid. Pulled it out, let it air dry, turne it on,no good. Threw it in bad of rice with it apart and waited 1 day. It must have drawn all of the rema in water out..not worked no problem. However, I did remove the battery right after I saw it drop in the bucket.

Can we be confident that the rice dust will not damage the device further?
