Is it just me, or has everyone been getting all sorts of stupid alerts from the New York Times app for Z10?
It seems they are testing something but accidentally sending these alerts out to EVERYONE. eg. 'hi bob do you see this message', or 'automation test for the app', etc.

It's been happening every couple of days for a few weeks. One third parts annoying, two thirds parts amusing.

and an even better one: "This one's for you melina!" ... whatever that means.

I got one earlier today, the first time I did. I thought it was a freak occurrence, but as of 10 minutes ago, I've received 4 of them

I was getting them too -and I made sure push notifications were turned off. Not to mention the app sometimes launching it's own active frame! VERY ANNOYING!!

I found a simple fix for this. I deleted the app and emailed the NYT support team.

Ha. Yea I've had them for a few days now. 3 in the past hour. Someone's testing and doesn't realize what they are doing.
