Hi all,

For the life of me i cannot figure this out. When my phone rings i want to be able to mute the vibrate/ringtone.

On my 9900 i could press the top button and it would mute everything, whereas on my z10 ive tried pressing the top button when my phone rings but it keeps ringing.

So is this possible on the Z10?? if so how??

Hi spawn,

I had the same trouble.


It seems on the z10 you need to swipe the screen UP to reject a call, DOWN to accept, or left to right to silence the incoming call.

Just tap the grey bar

Press one of the volume keys on the side of the device when it is ringing. Doesn't matter which one (volume up or volume down).

Thanks guys for the quick replies.

Yeh i figured it out, by pressing either volume button it mutes the ringing tone and vibration. I usually have my phone in my micro fiber pouch so pressing the volume up button mutes everything.

Hopefully BB will allow the top button to mute all alerts including the vibrate function as there are times i cannot answer my phone, so pressing the top button would be a quickfire way to mute all incoming alerts/vibration.

Which is all well and good if the phone ISNT in a case like my micro fiber pouch. Now the problem i was having was when my phone is in the pouch, i cant access the gray bar unless i take my phone physically out of the phone and at times that is not possible so i was looking for a way to quickly mute the incoming call tone and vibration when my phone is in the pouch.

Anyhow i figured it out by pressing the up volume button when my phone is in my pouch, not exactly an elegant solution as id rather have the top button to mute the incoming call/vibration.
